What’s your story as an artist?

I come from a small but beautiful country Azerbaijan. Majority of people don’t believe me when  I say this but ever since I was 4 years old I knew music was going to be my career. the passion I  have towards singing and writing songs has been existent since pre-school. I was blessed with  supportive parents because they truly acknowledged me and my dream of becoming a well known singer. and so, I’ve been releasing music since I was 14. I’ve released a few singles, an  EP, and my most recent single “Daddy’s Daughter”. My team is growing as well as now I have a  manager and PR, so more exciting things and a lot of new music is coming soon.

What inspired this last release?

growing up I was always that friend who had a really healthy and loving relationship with their  dad. However, the majority of my friends and relatives had very absent/toxic fathers. I was very  affected by this because I was there to witness numerous events that really made me realize how  rare it is nowadays to have a healthy relationship with your father. To phrase it shortly, “Daddy’s  Daughter” is a song about the consequences of having an unhealthy relationship with your father  – how it affects you as a person, as a lover, and as a friend.

Do you get inspired by other art forms?

Absolutely. I love fashion which is a big passion of mine as well, film, drawing, and honestly  anything that requires creativity and imagination.

Any funny anecdotes from the time you were recording or writing this?

There are plenty of inside jokes between me and those who inspired the song, however I can’t share them. sorry XD!

What’s your favorite place or environment to write?

My favorite environment to write music is definitely in my room at 4AM in the morning, sitting  on the floor with my guitar and coming up with different chord progressions. I do get lots of  noise complaints the next day but it’s worth it if you ask me.

What’s a record that shaped your creativity?

From other artists “Bohemian Rhapsody”, is simply a classic. I am yet to hear a song as  creatively written as this one. I always thought songs should have a specific structure and form,  however, Queen proved it to me that there are no rules or boundaries in music.

From my own music, the record that shaped my creativity hasn’t been released yet as it’s all the  new music I’ve been writing recently. I’ve written plenty of new songs that challenged my  creativity in the best way possible, as well as resonate with who I am as an artist. and I can’t  physically wait to share them with the world!
