The precision, discipline, artistic sensibility, and ability to balance creativity with technical expertise are qualities that often define a great director. When those traits are paired with an instinct for finding beauty in everyday details and transforming emotions into compelling imagery, the result goes far beyond filmmaking itself. That is the path Julian Kleinert has built. As a filmmaker, producer, and creative director based in Los Angeles, he continues to develop a body of work centered on honest storytelling and a carefully crafted visual identity.

As the co-founder of RAW SOULS Productions alongside director and cinematographer Amélie Siegmund, Kleinert has helped shape a body of work across commercials, music videos, and narrative films that blends cinematic craftsmanship, emotional storytelling, and the contrasting perspectives of European and American production cultures.

Over the years, Kleinert has also worked in camera operation, photography, and artwork development for music releases by Felix Jaehn, Lena & Linus, Wilhelmine, Benne, Kaffkiez, Antje Schomaker, and Lina, developing a visual language that adapts to every project while preserving the company’s distinctive style.

That same approach is reflected in the music videos he has helped bring to life, which have collectively reached millions of views across digital platforms. Productions for artists including KAMRAD, Robin Schulz, Topic, Becky G, Ray Dalton, and Felix Jaehn are just a few examples from an extensive portfolio.

Film is another area where the team has made its mark. In May 2026, the independent short film 2 [TU:], written and directed by Julian Kleinert and Amélie Siegmund, was officially selected for the Short Film Corner | Rendez-vous Industry at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, adding yet another milestone to the filmmakers’ growing list of achievements.

Supported by a close-knit team and an ability to unite creative vision with thoughtful planning without compromising the essence of each story, RAW SOULS has collaborated with internationally recognized artists and companies, including AMIRI, Warner Music, Universal Music, Sony Music, and Thomann.

At its core, RAW SOULS is driven by human connection. The production company is committed to creating work that resonates emotionally with audiences while reflecting authentic human experiences.

“RAW SOULS is the space where Amélie and I can turn the things we feel into something visible. It is not only a production company to me, but it is also our shared language, our friendship, and the life we are building through films,” Julian Kleinert said.

That philosophy is also reflected in Siegmund’s words. She describes Kleinert as the person who brings structure to her ideas without taking away their sensitivity, someone who naturally bridges imagination and execution, and whose extensive body of work speaks for itself.
