How did you get to where you are now?
Currently I’m working on my Debut Album. It’s in the earliest stages but the music is very pop/RnB. Over the course of the last 10 years I’ve really trained myself as far as singing and learning guitar and arrangement and song writing. My good friend Reginald Honore taught me a lot about songwriting and the game in General as well.
I think he was the only person early on who saw the vision and took some real time to help me do this in a structured organized way. Also my Current Manager Marque Musgrove has definitely helped teach me a lot in the last year about the industry as well as really help me take things to the next level and because of him and his great decision making he’s helped me to become a charting artist on the major charts as an independent artist.
What is the favorite song you wrote and why?
Ok so at the moment it’s my new single “Focused On You” I say this because I think it really accurately represents where I’m at vibe wise right now.
Who are your all time musical icons?
Justin Bieber, Miguel, Chris Brown, John Mayer, Tone Stith, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Post Malone and myself of course.
What are some things to do to keep your inspiration alive?
I find that something as simple as a melody can set off that inspiration for me. even a sound. I think as a creative, it’s not hard to be easily inspired.
Favorite movie or TV show?
“What we do in the shadows”
Tell us about your latest release and how it came about
Focused on you is my summer hit! This came about reflecting my experiences during the phase of falling in love and The feelings and desires that come along with it.
What’s the future looking like for you?
I can’t predict the future but I can guarantee future me will have reached all the goals he set for himself and then some!
Who inspires your style and aesthetics?
I love Michael Jackson’s ability to create a dream-like essence to his music. I think that’s the biggest thing I pull from.
What is one of the proudest moments of your career so far?
So far it’s collaborating with Gibson. The first guitar I ever picked up was a Gibson so it was a big deal for me!
What would you change in the music and entertainment industry especially after this past year?
After this year we all lost a lot and went through a lot. I’d love to see bigger artists be more open and willing to collaborate with those coming up. you never know who somebody’s gonna be and even for me if I can help be a help to the next Chris brown or bruno mars I think that’s important. I think it’s just unity at the end of the day.
